It is 443 m high and 102 story skyscraper building. The observatory is on levels 86 and 102.
Let me introduce 86th floor Main Deck. It is divided indoor and outdoor observatories, it is a bit harder to have panoramic city view from indoor observatory because both of them are on the same floor.
The outside observatory is surrounded by wire mesh fence but still can feel freedom openness. It allows us to have a 360 degree panoramic city view, enjoying night lights from every directions.
It is the most crowded observatory in New York, but you can check up wait time on their official website in real time.
Steps for all visitors in Empire State Building is go through security check -> Ticket Counter -> Queue for lift. Then, there is a special option ‘VIP Main Deck Express Experience’ which make guests to skip security check and waiting line for elevator.
Please be careful you must purchase this before you visit there, if not, it makes only pass for Elevator queue.
I have arrived at 9PM on weekday and got to the Main Deck about for 15 minutes later with no lines for waiting.
There are no places to take a rest such as benches.
