Impressions

Also called the North Head, Hauraki Gulf Maritime Park was originally used for military purposes. Because of this, there are air-raid shelters and forts still remaining on high grounds. If you head east, you can view Rangitoto Island which is located on Waitemata Harbor.

Note

The closing times are written on the gate, and when I visited the park in September 2013, 8PM was the closing time. These hours may change during different seasons, so I recommend that you make a preliminary visit during the day.
