Impressions

Located approximately one hour from downtown, Grouse Mountain is the largest ski ground in North America with an elevation of 1200m. The distinguishing characteristics of this place, is that the night view from the ropeway is far more beautiful than the view from the observatory on the top of the mountain.

The reason is that there is an observatory restaurant, and an observatory deck that people can go in for free. The mountain has an elevation of 1200m which is more than enough, but the view is narrowed by the trees, unable to enjoy a spacious night view.

I looked for a night view spot nearby, but I could not find any. In order to enjoy a large-scale view from the mountaintop, you will need to use the lift of the ski ground, and climb another 100m or so. Please note that the lift is operating only during ski season.

Although having said that, the night view from the ropeway, is a night view by no doubt, and is worth visiting.

Note

If you reserve the restaurant in the observatory, the ropeway fee is free.
