It was once closed down in December 2006, but reopened in May 2009 due to a restoration done by a private enterprise. The Yokohama Marine Tower could be considered the symbol of Yokohama. From 106 meters above ground, you can overlook famous tourist spots of Yokohama such as Chinatown.

The characteristic of this observatory, is that the dim interior makes it easier to see the night view.
