After its’ renovation and reopening in 2006, this place has an exceptionally good atmosphere. There are a few counter seats lit by candlelight along the windows, and you can enjoy the night view while drinking cocktails.

However, when I visited for coverage in 2013, the observatory was smaller due to a special art exhibition. And because I visited on a weekend, there were many tourists, and was the observatory was overcrowded.

This is something that has not changed even after the renewal, but there are thin layers of smoke inside the glass windows, so the night view looks a bit darker. The night view itself is magnificent, but because of the windows, I felt that it is a bit disappointing observatory.

To buy the tickets on busy days, you will first need to obtain a numbered ticket issued near the ticket counters. When I visited in January 2013 (Saturday) before sunset, there were about 50 people in the queue to buy tickets at the ticket booth in front of the elevators, and the wait time was 20 minutes.
