Impressions

Wakakusayama Hill is one of the New Three Major Night Views of Japan, and since there is no bus route to get here, you would need to take a taxi, or the “Nara Wakayamasan Night View Bus” available from mid-July to late-September.

From the observatory space with an altitude of 342 meters, you can glance over Nara to Tokyo. There are no shops in the observatory space, just vending machines in the parking lot, so you can enjoy a night view in a nice quiet environment. The observation tower is slightly lit-up, which is another reason that makes this hill a fine environment.

It takes about 3 minutes on foot from the parking lot to the observation spot, but the path is lit and you would not have to worry about getting lost.
